On Wednesday, a 26-year-old man died after suffering from a heart attack while practicing Garba at a class in Gujarat’s Surat.
Raj Dharmesh Modi, a resident of Palanpur village, was participating in a Garba class at a community hall when he suddenly experienced severe chest pain and collapsed.
Despite immediate medical attention and being rushed to a hospital, Modi was declared brought dead.
A doctor who was part of the team that conducted the autopsy said the death was primarily thought to be caused by a heart attack. “We have sent some samples to the FSL office for further testing,” he added.
“Raj was my only child. He had completed his degree in mechanical engineering from Surat and was about to fly to London for further studies in December. He was working at the service station of a car showroom,” Modi’s father, Dharmesh, said.
