Bihar ‘mastermind’ confesses to selling NEET-UG question paper for Rs 30-32 lakh: Report

In a major development, alleged mastermind of the NEET-UG Paper leak case has confessed that the question paper was leaked before the day of the exam and the price of the paper was around Rs 32 lakh, ABP Live has reported.

ABP reported that the mastermind Amit Anand purportedly revealed in a confession that how the students were made to memorise the answers to the questions overnight. The students were charged lakhs of rupees.

He further said in his confession that the question papers and answers were given to the candidates on the same day. Anand said that the police found the burnt remains of the NEET UG question papers and answers from his flat. As per the report, a case has been registered against Anand.

As of now, 13 arrests have been made. The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police during the investigation identified Sikandar Yadvendu, a junior engineer in the municipal committee of Danapur, as the main person in charge of the NEET question paper leak case, according to Times Now.

ABP reported that Anand in his confession said that he met Sikandar and told him that he can leak the question paper and also told the cost of the paper. Sikandar agreed and asked Anand to help 4 students who are preparing for the exam.

The EOU has arrested Sikandar.
