Chief Minister Siddaramiah announces to establish Karnataka State Christian Development Corporation

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramiah on Friday announced to establish Karnataka State Christian Development Corporation as he presented the 2023-24 budget in the Legislative Assembly.

Siddaramaiah said a Karnataka State Christian Development Corporation would be established for the holistic development of the community in the state for which Rs 100 crore would be provided in the current year for the purpose.

The CM also said Rs 52,000 crores would be spent annually to implement the five key poll promises of the Congress party.

The five key poll promises are: free bus travel for women, 200 units of free electricity, 10 kg of free foodgrains to the poor, Rs 2,000 for the woman head of the household and unemployment benefits of up to Rs 3,000.
