A New York jury on Tuesday said that former US President Donald Trump sexually abused advice columnist E Jean Carroll in a New York department store changing room 27 years ago. The jury also ordered Trump to pay $5 million to Carroll. Jurors rejected Carroll’s claims that she was raped, but found Trump liable for sexual abuse and for defaming Carroll after she made her allegations public.
“I have absolutely no idea who this woman is. The verdict is a disgrace – a continuation of the greatest witch hunt of all time,” Trump said.
