On Monday, Seer Jagadguru Paramhans Acharya Maharaj from Ayodhya was stopped at the Sohna toll plaza in Haryana’s Nuh by the administration. After the police stopped him, the seer sat on a hunger strike and said that he would sit here and ask why he was being stopped instead of the culprits.
“I have come here from Ayodhya…The administration has stopped us here; they are not allowing us to move ahead or go back. So I am fasting until death. I won’t move from here until the administration grants me permission. I was going to Nuh to offer Jalabhishek for the justice of those who were killed during Nuh violence,” he said while speaking to Republic.
“Only 2–3 people are with me. I don’t know why 2-3 people are a problem for the police. I am not being allowed to go further, nor can I go back. I don’t understand why the CM of Haryana is doing politics with Hindus. He considers me his guru, and I don’t know why this behaviour is being carried out with me,” the Hindu seer added.
The Nuh district has been turned into a fortress on Monday after the Vishwa Hindu Parishad called for the resume of the ‘Shobha Yatra’ in Nuh on the occasion of the last Monday of Sawan.
Earlier on Sunday, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the administration has denied permission to take out the Yatra in order to maintain law and order. He also urged people to go to nearby temples and offer prayers instead of taking out the Yatra.
