Indian airline Go First will temporarily suspend its flight operation on May 3 and May 4 due to a severe fund crunch. “Go First is facing a financial crunch due to non-supply of engines by Pratt & Whitney (P&W), which has forced the company to ground 28 planes, which is more than half of its fleet,” the company’s CEO Kaushik Khona told PTI. The company has also filed an application for voluntary insolvency resolution proceedings before NCLT.
“The flights will resume operation once the NCLT admits the application,” said Khona.
