The government has asked Twitter and other social media platforms to take down a video of two Manipur women paraded naked.
The videos were inflammatory, and as the matter is under investigation, Twitter and other social media companies have been asked to remove the video, PTI has quoted its sources as saying.
The widely circulated video from the violence-hit Manipur has sparked an outrage.
Meanwhile, PM Modi reacted to the May 4 video of two women being paraded naked by a group of rioters, and said, “The Manipur incident is shameful for any decent society. My heart is full of pain and anger. I assure the nation, no guilty will be spared. The law will take its course with all its might. What has happened to daughters of Manipur can never be forgiven.”
The entire state of Manipur has been burning since the beginning of May and has witnessed some of the most horrific instances of violence and mass killings. People had since been questioning PM Modi, who finally broke his silence after the 75-day-old video outraged people across the nation.
