Former IPS officer DG Vanzara on November 8 launched a political party based on “Hindutva” ideology named ‘Praja Vijay Paksha’ which will contest the next month’s Assembly elections in Gujarat.
He addressed a press conference in Ahmedabad and called his party the political alternative to the BJP and other parties.
“People of Gujarat do not easily accept a non-Hindutva party. Only a Hindutva party can provide an alternative to the BJP. Today, I want the people of the state and the country to know that ‘Praja Vijay Party’ is a Hindutva party,” Vanzara said at the conference.
If Congress had been an alternative, there would not have been a single-party (BJP) rule in the state for the last 27 years, he said.
“Even the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) cannot become an option for people in Gujarat who want an alternative to the BJP,” he further said.
He also outlined the fault with the one-party dominance in Gujarat and also stated his party’s vision.
“For 27 years there’s been BJP rule and a situation has arisen where one party dominance system is in place. As a result, corruption is taking place. For people’s development, one-party dominance cannot hold. Hindutva (of) BJP has no vision beyond Rajsatta (power). We believe instead that there should be Dharmsatta with Rajsatta. BJP doesn’t abide by rajsatta and as a result, mahima (glory) of dharma (religion) and sant sadhu (seers) is not there,” he said.
‘Praja Vijay Paksha’ has entered the fray with a new political and spiritual vision. Priority will be given to women and youth who want to contest polls, he added.
