Head of the Bohra Muslim community Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin has been elected as the chancellor of the Jamia Millia Islamia for a five-year term effective Tuesday. Saifuddin has been the head of the global Dawoodi Bohra Muslim community since 2014.

Sharing the photo of PM Modi with Saifuddin, the BJP Minority Morcha said in a tweet, “Hearty congratulations to the 53rd religious leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community Dr. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin Sahab on being appointed as the Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia.
