A day after massive violence by the Muslim mobs in Haryana’s Nuh (Mewat region), state Home Minister Anil Vij said the Indian Air Force (IAF) has been kept on standby in case their help is needed to airlift security forces from remote parts of India.
“The situation in Nuh is under control. The internet service has been suspended, and a curfew has been imposed. A sufficient police force has been deployed there. At first, we sent the nearby district’s police forces there as soon as the incident took place. Today, we also sent more police forces with officials. I have talked to central home secretary Ajay Bhalla, and we got 20 companies to deploy in the state. We have also kept the Air Force on standby in case their help is needed to airlift security forces from remote parts of the country to deploy in the state,” Vij said on Tuesday while speaking to PTI.
