A special court in Mumbai has granted bail to accused Arman Iqbal Khatri, who was arrested for allegedly abetting the suicide of fellow student Darshan Solanki. Arman has been granted bail on a bond of Rs 25,000. “Mere allegations in the suicide note that the applicant is responsible for his death would not be sufficient to come to the conclusion that the applicant has committed the offence of abetment,” the court said. Police had arrested Arman on the basis of a suicide note recovered from the hostel room of the deceased, Darshan Solanki. “Arman has killed me”, the suicide note read.
