India on Tuesday announced the supply of 20,000 MTs of wheat assistance to the Taliban-led Afghanistan in partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme (UNWFP) through Iran’s Chabahar Port. The announcement was made at the first meeting of the India-Central Asia Joint Working Group (JWG) on Afghanistan. In June last year, India re-established its diplomatic presence in Kabul by deploying a “technical team” to its embassy in the Afghan capital.
