Islamic terror outfit Hamas forced a 12-year-old boy named Eitan Yahalomi to watch videos of the brutal attacks the terrorist group carried out in their October 7 attack against Israel, the aunt of the child has said.
Yahalomi was released on Monday night, along with other hostages, under the current Israel-Hamas truce.
Speaking to French TV – BFM, the aunt of Eitan, Deborah Cohen, also described the conditions that her nephew endured during the 52 days in Islamic terror group’s captivity. “When he arrived in Gaza, all of the residents, all of them, beat him up. He’s a 12-year-old child,” Cohen further said, adding that every time one of the children in captivity cried, they “threatened them with rifles to shut them up”.
Cohen said that she wanted to hope that Eitan was treated well, but now it turns out that Hamas are monsters. “Now that I know this, I’m worried. His father (Eitan) is still there, and there are 160 people who have not yet returned,” she told BFM.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) also addressed Eitan’s testimony, with spokesperson Daniel Hagari saying that it only proves that Hamas is cruel.
“Eitan’s testimony demonstrates that Hamas is a cruel, terrorist organisation that does not allow the Red Crescent t(International Red Cross and Red Crescent movement) to check on the well-being of the hostages. It is both our obligation and the world’s moral obligation as humans to insist that the Red Crescent fulfills its responsibility. We will do everything…to bring all of the hostages back home – whether during the ceasefire or through continued combat,” Hagari said in a video posed by the IDF on X.
