On December 4, an Islamic terror outfit-The Resistance Front (TRF), published a hitlist of 56 Kashmiri Pandit employees, appointed under the Prime Minister’s rehabilitation package in the Kashmir Valley, who are on their target. TRF is an offshoot of Pakistan-based Islamic terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Toiba.
The list was published by a blog named “Kashmiri Fight” linked to the TRF.
“The Resistance Fighters have got all the details so each and every Migrant Hindutva Fascist ideology spreading Kashmiri Pandiths and Non-locals/ Foreigners maligning the atmosphere of the valley. The Resistance fighters have already put forth their points and reason for carrying out attacks on such elements and it will continue. We once again want to warn such elements not to become pawns of the Delhi Regime and don’t become the barriers of their filthy and fascist agenda. Rest the Resistance Fighters are crystal clear in their attacks. List of non-locals to be uploaded soon…,” the threat letter reads.
Meanwhile, the next day, various Kashmiri Pandit took to the streets in Jammu demanding a high-level probe into the matter as to how the names of the employees working under the PM package in the Education Department with their names and place of posting were leaked to a terror outfit.
The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has also demanded a probe into the leak of the list which got circulated on social media.
BJP Spokesman Altaf Thakur has expressed concern and has asked the authorities to probe how the list was leaked. He has also asked them to provide adequate security to the Kashmiri Pandit employees.
“This is a security breach as militants have a clear idea who is posted where. Government must take strong note of it and find out who has leaked the list at a time when targeted killings are taking place in the Valley,” Thakur said.
