Israel condemns attacks on Jewish targets in the riots across France, PM Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday.

“The government views with utmost concern the displays and waves of antisemitism sweeping over France,” Netanyahu said. “In recent days, we have witnessed criminal assaults against Jewish targets.”

“We strongly condemn these attacks and we support the French government in its fight against antisemitism,” he added.

Rioters vandalised the Holocaust memorial site in Paris, known as The Memorial to the Martyrs of the Deportation on Friday. The monument honors the memory of 200,000 people sent from Vichy France to Nazi concentration camps.
