On Saturday, DMK leader and Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, who earlier called for the eradication of Sanatan Dharma, said that ‘Jai Shri Ram’ chants at Pakistani player is ‘unacceptable, new low’:

Sharing the video in which Indian fans can be seen chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ when the Islamic Republic of Pkaistan’s player Muhammad Rizwan was walking back into the dressing room after getting out, Stalin posted on X, “India is renowned for its sportsmanship and hospitality. However, the treatment meted out to Pakistan players at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is unacceptable and a new low. Sports should be a unifying force between countries, fostering true brotherhood. Using it as a tool to spread hatred is condemnable.”

India on Saturday registered an emphatic victory over Pakistan by 7 wickets.

Notably, Rizwan on Wednesday dedicated his century and Pakistan’s win against Sri Lanka to Gaza. He has also been seen doing Namaz several times on the grounds during matches.

Earlier in September, Stalin had said that “Sanatana Dharma is like malaria and dengue, and so it must be eradicated and not merely opposed”.
