Cracks have developed in five new buildings in Uttarkahnd’s Joshimath town. A crackometer installed by the administration in a house in Singhdhar ward has shifted from its place due to the widening of cracks, India Today has reported. “As soon as you go inside the house, there are big cracks in the walls and other places. We are living but are worried,” a local resident, whose house has developed fresh caracks said. He further said that neither his house has been marked unsafe nor has his family been shifted to a safe place. He also said that he had informed the administration about the matter, who deemed the situation as normal.
