The Special Cell of Delhi Police on Monday arrested two shooters of Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Singh a.k.a Arsh Dalla after an encounter in the national capital. The encounter with gang members of the Canada-based Khalistani terrorist took place in the Mayur Vihar area of the city on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.
The arrested shooters have been identified as Rajpreet Singh alias Raja (25) and Virender Singh alias Vimmy (22). Both shooters were absconding after jumping parole in a case in Punjab and had planned to attack a Punjabi singer.
During the exchange of fire, Vimmy got injured as he was shot in his right leg. Both the accused were caught and taken to a hospital.
A .45 mm revolver with six live cartridges, .30 mm pistol with seven live cartridges, a hand grenade, and a stolen bike were recovered from the possession of the shooters.
Raja and Vimmy were reportedly ordered by Arsh Dalla to kill Punjabi singer Elly Mangat.
Arsh Dalla, who left India in 2020, is wanted by the Delhi Police, Punjab Police, and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in multiple cases.
