Amid violence in the state, hangmeiband assembly constituency MLA Khumukcham Joykisan Singh on Sunday reaffirmed his stand to resign from the assembly and join the public movement in case of any eventuality of disintegration of Manipur. As per a report by Imphal Free Press, Singh in a statement said that in case of any eventuality of disintegrating Manipur, whether it is geographically or internal separate administration, he will resign from being MLA and join the public movement for the integrity of Manipur.
