“RSS people always invited me, but I always refused. Since I could not refuse directly, I used to put a condition that I would come if I got 45 minutes of one-on-one time with Mohan Bhagwat Saheb. It went on for 2–3 years like this. Then once, Bhagwat’s brother (cousion) and a person came and told me that there is a programme and I will get 45 minutes with Bhagwat saheb, and I went to Nagpur,” Sareshwala said in an interview with India TV.

“I had to stay at night. I said I could stay anywhere, but they made me stay in Hedgewar Bhavan. I think I was the first Musalman in 90 years to stay in Hedgewar Bhavan,” he further said.

“It was late at night; it was cold. I asked Mohan Bhagwat Saheb’s cousin brother, “Can I offer namaz here”. He replied, “Absolutely”. He (Bhagwat’s cousion brother) became attentive, brought white clothes for me, and said there is an arrangement for hot water; you can do Wuzu and offer Namaz. I offered Namaz at RSS headquarters,” Sareshwala added.

“The next day, Namaz time came again. Bhagwat Saheb asked someone and made arrangements for the Namaz in the VHP room. I offered the Namaz,” he said.

“I talked to Bhagwat Saheb one-on-one and kept all issues pertaining to Muslims in front of him. He listened to all my issues and said, “I agree with your pain. Your pain is absolutely true”,” Sareshwala said.

According to Sareshwala, Bhagwat further told him that “we believe that this country can’t progress if 15-20%  Muslims are left behind.”
