A 28-year-old man from Madhya Pradesh’s Indore underwent a ‘sex change’ surgery to marry his male partner. However, after the surgery, his partner identified Vaibhav Shukla refused to stay with him. The man has filed a police complaint against Shukla.

A resident of UP’s Kanpur, the complainant told the police that he met Shukla on Instagram in 2021 and was promised ‘marriage’ if he underwent ‘sex change’ surgery. After the operation, however, Shukla refused to go ahead with the ‘marriage’ and subjected him to unnatural acts, ANI has reported.

“I underwent gender reassignment surgery as per Shukla’s request, believing in his commitment to ‘marry’ me. However, he not only reneged on his promise but also subjected me to unnatural acts,” he said.

“I spent a significant amount on the surgery, and now I’m left in despair. I urge the authorities to take strict action against Shukla,” he added.

Police said that they were in a relationship and Shukla also threatened the man with dire consequences after he refused to go ahead with the ‘marriage’ plans. “The accused allegedly engaged in unnatural acts with the victim. A case has been registered against Vaibhav Shukla under IPC Section 377 (unnatural sex), and 506 (criminal intimidation). We are further looking into the case, efforts are on to trace and arrest the accused,” ijay Nagar Police Station in-charge Chandrabhal Singh told ANI.
