In a gruesome murder incident, one Yunus Ansari killed his business partner Vikas Giri and chopped his body into 80 pieces for allegedly having a love affair with his sister. Ansari dumped the body parts inside Dudhmatia forest in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa.
The case came to the limelight after a skeleton of a person was found after four months Vikas Giri’s father had registered a missing complaint about his son with the police.
A year ago, Vikas had left the house for some work but he did not return.
“A resident of Chhuiya village Vikas Giri, 21, a contractor of plantation of the forest department, went missing in October 2021. His father filed a missing complaint. In February, some cattle grazers found parts of his skeleton and his Aadhaar Card in the Dudhmuniya forest. They informed the police,” Rewa Superintendent of Police (SP), Navneet Bhasin said.
“After investigating the case for nine months, police nabbed the accused. The villagers said that Giri was seen many times with Ansari’s sister. Ansari was also a business partner of Giri. Police interrogated Ansari many times but he didn’t confess to the crime. Police detained Ansari on November 14 and cross-questioned him. In the interrogation, Ansari informed that Giri was ‘assaulting’ his sister. Sirtaj and Ansari caught him red-handed at their house. They attacked him with a rod. He died on the spot. Later, they took the body into the deep forest and dumped it,” the SP further said.
The Mauganj police of Rewa District arrested Ansari under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The police later presented the accused before the court which sent him to jail.
