TDP leader K Ravindra Kumar on Friday said that the reservation provided to the Muslims will continue in the state.
“We will continue that. There is no problem at all,” Kumar told ANI. Earlier, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu also asserted to preserve the Muslim reservation in the state.
The TDP and its allies the BJP and the Jana Sena are all set to form the government in the state after registering a landslide victory in the Assembly elections.
When asked if the party will put forth its demands at the NDA meeting, Kumar said, “Today is not the stage to discuss the demands but we are a part of the NDA (/topic/nda). The question of demand doesn’t arise. It is a pre-poll alliance. We used to take the assistance of the Centre whenever required. We used to take the schemes of the Centre and also Centre-State sharing seats and also AP Reorganisation Act.”
“So many things are there, it is an ongoing process. First priority is that Andhra Pradesh has to be reconstructed since it has gone back by 25 years,” he added.
TDP won 135 seats, while its allies the BJP and the Jana Sena registered victories on 8 and 21 seats respectively.
