Nepal govt has denied the reports that it has given permission for the establishment of a Buddhist University with the Indian govt’s aid. The Government Spokesperson denied that the govt has given any permission for the establishment of a Buddhist University in an area that is close to the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR). “In order to turn the country into a playground for foreigners, the govt is allowing India to open a Buddhist college in Mustang,” former PM KP Oli had said. As per reports, the Indian govt has planned to spend over Rs 700 million to set up Buddhist colleges in the restricted territory of the Upper Mustang.
