Islamic Republic of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday that no one will be able to stop Muslims around the world and ‘resistance forces’ if Israel’s action in Gaza continues, Iranian state TV has reported.
“No one can confront Muslims and the resistance forces if the Zionist regime’s crimes against Palestinians continue… the bombardment of Gaza must stop immediately,” Khamenei said.
“The Zionist regime’s officials should be tried for their crimes against Palestinians in Gaza,” he added.
Since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Iran has been vocal in its support for Palestine. Tehran makes no secret of its backing for the Islamic terror group Hamas by providing funding and armaments.
Israel has vowed to annihilate Hamas after the terror group killed more than 1,300 people, mainly civilians, including babies and women, on October 7.
