An officer named Rajesh Vishwas posted in Pakhanjur of Chhatisgarh’s Kanker district drained lakhs of litres of water to retrieve his expensive mobile phone that fell into a reservoir. As per a report by Dainik Bhaskar, the food inspector’s phone fell into the water while he was partying with his friends on Sunday. The officer first engaged village divers to find the mobile. The next day, he came with a pump and pumped out water for 4 days. The amount of water drained by the officer could have been used for irrigating 1,500 acres of land. Reportedly, the phone was found, however, it’s not working.
