To protest against the death of Fidayeen (Islamic suicide bomber) of Pakistan, Tabarak Hussain, who had infiltrated Jammu & Kashmir in August 2022, Pakistan summoned the Indian diplomat on September 5, 2022. The Indian charge d’affaires was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Office of the Pakistan government. As per the reports published in the Pakistani media, the death of Hussain due to cardiac arrest, while he was under treatment in India, has been termed an “extrajudicial killing of Pakistani national”. The Islamic terrorist has been called a mentally challenged person who inadvertently crossed into India, by the Pakistan government.

In the statement issued by the Foreign Office Ministry of Pakistan, it was claimed that Tabarak Hussain who had “unsound mental health”, had inadvertently crossed the LOC in 2016 and had to be repatriated to Pakistan after serving a 26-month long prison term. The statement said:

The government of India has been called upon to share the details of this particular incident, including a credible post-mortem report to determine the cause of death and undertake a transparent investigation to bring to account whoever is responsible for the murder of the Pakistani prisoner.

It was further added in the statement:

Prompt and expeditious repatriation of the mortal remains of the deceased to Pakistan, as per the wishes of his family, was also demanded.

Tabarak Hussain was a resident of Sabzkot in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). He was captured by the Indian Army on August 21, 2022, at LOC in Jammu & Kashmir in the Jhangar sector of Naushera, Rajouri. Hussian had confessed on camera that he was tasked with attacking the Indian Army by senior personnel of the Pakistan Army. Hussain was offered rupees 30,000 for the task. The Indian Army on August 24, 2022, had said that they never treated Hussain as a terrorist. Instead, officials of the Indian Army gave blood to the Islamic terrorist “despite the fact that he had come to bleed them”. As per the statement given by the Brigadier Rajeev Nair of the Indian Army:

He had bled out due to 2 bullet wounds in his thigh & shoulder, which was critical. Members of our team gave him 3 bottles of blood, operated on him & put him in the ICU. He is stable now but will take a few weeks to improve.

Hussain died on September 3 due to cardiac arrest while he was under treatment. The postmortem of Hussain’s body was done on September 4 at sub-district hospital Surankote and later handed over to Indian Army authorities. The dead body of Hussain was handed to Pakistan on September 5, 2022, by the Indian Army.
