The Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) honoured the parents of Nirmaljit Singh Saini, who shot dead a woman inside Gurudwara complex, with a siropa (rob of honour) at their residence in Patiala. “Anti-Sikh forces are targeting gurdwaras with a deliberate conspiracy and the government was a silent spectator. The act of drinking inside the gurdwara was a conspiracy,” SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami said.

Earlier, on Sunday, Saini shot dead a woman identified as Kulwinder Kaur inside the Dukhniwaran Sahib Gurdwara complex in Patiala.
