Houses of Hindu refugees from Pakistan living in the Amar Sagar area in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district were razed to the ground with bulldozers. The Hindu families had come to India after being persecuted in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and were living in this area for a long time. As per reports, the action was carried out on the orders of District Collector Tina Dabi. The action has left over 150 women, men, and children now exposed to the open sky.

In December 2019, the Centre had enacted CAA, which is yet to be implemented.
