Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Wednesday that Rajasthan Police is free to act against Bajrang Dal’s Monu Manesar.
“As far as Monu Mansesar is concerned, the Rajasthan government has registered an FIR against Manesar. We have told the Rajasthan government that whatever help is required to look for him will be provided by us. Rajasthan Police is looking for him; we have no input on where he is, and I can’t say whether they (the Rajasthan government) have any inputs or not. The Rajasthan Police are free to act against him; we will extend the help they need,” Khattar said.
Khattar further said that while the government will issue compensation for the loss of public property, for private property, the people who caused the loss will be liable to pay for it.
“We have passed an Act wherein it provides that for any loss, the government issues compensation for the loss to Public property, but as far as Private property is concerned, those who caused the loss are liable to compensate for it. So, we will provide for loss to public property, and for private property, we will say that compensation be collected from those who are liable for it,” the CM said.
