As Ramadan is expected to begin on 22 March, Saudi Arabia has imposed numerous rules and restrictions on the practices including limiting mosque loudspeakers, curbing donations, no itikaf without ID, and banning the broadcasting of namaz within mosques, among others. Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Alsheikh on Friday gave out 10-point directions that must be followed during the month of Ramadan.
