Three people arrested in Agra for shouting pro-Pakistan slogans during the Tiranga rally 

The arrested men are sent to 14-days of judicial custody.

Uttar Pradesh police arrested three Muslim youths in Agra for shouting pro-Pakistan slogans on August 18, 2022. The arrested men are identified as Faizan, Shadab, and Moazzam, who are residents of the Gokulpura area in Agra. The slogans were shouted by the three in the Tiranga bike rally organized on Independence Day in Agra from Gokulpura to Lohamadi. A video was uploaded on Twitter on August 16, 2022, in which the three Muslim youth were seen chanting the slogan of “Pakistan Zindabad, Hindustan Zindabad, Sare Jahan Say Accha Hindustan Humara” with the Indian national flag in their hand. The case was registered against the three in the Lohamandi police station in Agra. 

Lohamandi SHO said that all the three men have been booked under IPC section 153 B (Imputations, assertions prejudicial to national integration). 

 Agra city SP Vikas Kumar informed that: 

On the basis of the complaint and video evidence, an FIR has been registered at Lohamandi police station against the accused. The entire matter is being investigated in detail. 

The three men were arrested and sent on 14-day judicial custody on August 17, 2022.
