Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has arrested an Islamic terrorist from Saharanpur, linked with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The terrorist who has been identified as Muhammad Nadeem is a resident of Kunda village in the Saharanpur district. Nadeem was tasked with killing former BJP spokesperson, Nupur Sharma. The Islamic terror conspiracy was busted under the leadership of ADG ATS Naveen Arora.
The ATS recovered a mobile phone from Nadeem during the primary investigation. As per the ATS, the phone had a PDF document titled “Explosive Course Fidae Force”. The police have also phone chat, which includes voice messages with Islamic terrorists of JeM and TTP in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Nadeem has said during the interrogation that he has been in touch with multiple Muslim terrorists of JeM and TTP since 2018 via various social media platforms, which include WhatsApp, Telegram, IMO, Facebook Messenger, Club House, etc. Nadeem has got training in creating virtual phone numbers from Islamic terror organizations. A Pakistani named Saifullah was training Nadeem to carry out a ‘Fidayeen’ attack on government buildings or police forces. Nadeem was asked to travel to Pakistan for special training.
Former BJP spokesperson is receiving continuous death threats from Islamists. On 11 August, four Muslims were arrested in Jaunpur of Uttar Pradesh, after they asked to behead Nupur Sharma by raising the ‘Sar Tan se Juda’ slogans during a Muharram procession. On 19 July, an Islamic terrorist named Rizwan Ashraf was held in Sri Ganga Nagar district of Rajasthan, after he crossed over to India from Pakistan with an 11-inch knife to kill Sharma.
