US Speaker McCarthy states that they will investigate to the fullest extent in regards to Biden’s classified document probe.

“We will get to the bottom of this no matter how long it takes us and how hard we have to fight,” he said during Fox News’ “Sunday Mornings Futures” show. “There’s one thing I think, I hope the American public realized from watching the race for speaker: I will never give up. That means I will never give up on you on getting the truth,” McCarthy said.

Last Monday, it was reported by US media that President Biden’s personal attorneys found a batch of 10 classified documents at a think-tank office, leading to a federal investigation. Then, on Saturday, President’s Special Counsel Richard Sauber announced that another set of classified government documents were discovered at Biden’s residence in Wilmington, Delaware. Sauber stated that while transferring the documents to the Justice Department, five additional pages with classification markings were found among the material, for a total of six pages.

The Justice Department officials present immediately took possession of them. In addition, a second batch of classified documents was found in the garage of the Wilmington residence and another one-page document was located in an adjacent room. In response, US Attorney General Merrick Garland has appointed a special counsel, former Justice Department prosecutor and former US Attorney for the District of Maryland Robert Hur, to investigate the issue of classified documents found at President Biden’s private office and residences. House Speaker McCarthy earlier this week suggested that Congress should investigate the matter and compared it to former President Trump’s handling of classified documents.
