The Bengaluru Police have arrested a woman and her boyfriend have been arrested for brutally assaulting her 3-year-old son. The incident took place in Girinagar and the cops arrested them under sections of the Juvenile Justice Act, based on a complaint by a CWC member.
In a video that has surfaced online, the boy could be heard telling the neighbours the manner in which his mother used to assault him. He shows them the injury marks on his fingers, hands and head and tells them that there was another man also who assaulted him. The victim also informs the neighbours that the mother often told him she didn’t want him.
The neighbours informed the Child Welfare Committee and they came and rescued the child. Injury marks were also found all over the child’s body.
According to the police, the woman had separated from her husband after the boy was born. She had requested her friend to take care of him. The boy stayed away from the mother for almost 1.5 years. When the woman got a job, she brought him back and moved into a flat in Girinagar and that’s when the assault began.
