On Sunday, a conference demanding equal rights for Hindus was held in Hyderabad. The conference discussed various aspects of the issue including the articles of the Constitution which deny Hindus equal rights in India. The conference also resolved to submit a Memorandum along with a draft Constitution (Amendment) Bill to PM Modi and request him to amend those discriminatory Articles.

Former CBI Director M Nageswara Rao, journalist Suresh Kochatil, K Lalith Kumar, Monica Reddy, and Suguna Karunakar were the key speakers at the event.

“The #EqualRightsForHindus Conference held today from 9 am to 2 pm in Hyderabad was attended by 150 persons. We discussed various aspects especially the deleterious effects of various articles of Constitution which deny the Hindus equal rights on par with those given to minorities, and its adverse consequences on Hindu religion and survival of Hindus in India,” Rao posted on X, earlier known as Twitter, on Sunday.

“The conference unanimously resolved to submit a Memorandum along with a draft Constitution (Amendment) Bill to PM Narendra Modi  Ji and others, with a request to take up amendment of articles 12, 15, 19, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 & 30 of and insertion of two new articles 12A & 12B into Construction before the expiry of tenure current Parliament in 2024,” Rao added.

“We had serious intellectual discussions without allowing any scope for vacuous jingoistic sloganeering, that is the bane of most Hindu conferences as the seriousness of the issues get sidetracked,” he further said.
