A senior Iranian official has no plan for immediate retaliation against Israel

“The foreign source of the incident has not been confirmed. We have not received any external attack, and the discussion leans more towards infiltration than attack,” the Iranian official told Reuters hours after Israeli missiles reportedly struck sites in Iran.

Meanwhile, Oman, which has long mediated between Tehran and the West, condemns what it says was an “Israeli attack” on Iran, after Iranian media reports explosions heard near the city of Isfahan.

Oman “condemns the Israeli attack this morning on Isfahan… it also condemns and denounces Israel’s repeated military attacks in the region,” the country’s foreign ministry statement said in a statement on X.
